The Siena Monitor logs messages over a Siena network and produces a graphical display of the topology of the network as well as of the traffic flow. You can get an idea of what the Siena Monitor does from this screenshot. Siena Monitor is fairly general in that it can be used as a generic traffic animation tool.

The Siena Monitor works with all recent versions of the Java implementation of Siena, as
well as with the latest beta versions of the C++ implementation of the Siena
server and API. In order to activate the monitoring feature with
the Java API and server, you must define the SienaMonitor
property as the hostname of the Siena Monitor. For example, if your
Siena Monitor running on host.domain.net
, you should run
a server like this:
java -DSienaMonitor=host.domain.net -classpath siena.jar \ siena.StartServer -port 3434
